Hadleigh & District Branch of the Royal British Legion
The Hadleigh & District of the Royal British Legion have sponsored the project with a grant of £4,000. This money was originally bequeath the the Branch with the specific instructions that this money should be used by the Branch for the benefit of the local community. Given that the Royal British Legion is the nation's custodian of remembrance and that 2014 was the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1, the Branch decided to donated this money in support of this project.

Hadleigh Farmers' Agricultural Association
Hadleigh Farmers Agricultural Association have sponsored the project by providing a free pitch at the annual Hadleigh Show where the project mounts its major annual exhibition. Funding has also be provided through grants and prize monies coming from the show.

Jim Lawrence
Jim Lawrence have sponsored the project by reproducing replica WW1 brass epaulette badges.
“When Mr Brennan approached us to make two replica brass epaulette badges for the ‘Hadleigh Great War Centenary Project’ we were delighted to help. With our workshop based in Hadleigh, many of our staff have family that were involved in Hadleigh’s efforts during the Great War. It’s an honour to be able to donate our craftsmen’s skills to create the two badges for such a fantastic local project.”

The Rotary Club of Hadleigh
Rotary is a worldwide network of over 1.2 million Rotarians in 34,000 clubs in 200 countries, men and women who volunteer their time and talents to serve communities locally and around the world. Every club arranges activities with no other goal than to celebrate and socialise and form friendships in the process. The Hadleigh Club has supported the project with grants.
The Rotary Club of Hadleigh meets every Thursday for dinner at the Queen’s Head, Lower Layham 7.00 for 7.30 pm. Please see website for more information.
